Storybook Swag is an Australian registered business (ABN: 54921593163), here out referred to as “we”, “our”, “us” or “staff”. We are bound by the Australian Consumer Laws
and regulations. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before accessing the site. We reserve the right to change, update or replace any part of these terms at our discretion. It is up to the customer to refer back to this page for review. As by purchasing from the store, this will be taken as acknowledgment and confirmation of the customer understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions as listed below.

When buying an item from our site

  1. All products are listed in Australian Dollars.
  2. All sales are final. We will not issue refunds for “change’s of mind” or if you find it cheaper elsewhere.
    a. We will only issue refunds/return if:
    i. There is a major problem with the product – this means that the item is unsafe, it is different to the description of the product, OR that it cannot be used for the purpose for which it was purchase.
    ii. The customer has notified the business of issues within 7 days of receipt of item. With documentation – images and records of concern.
    iii. Any refunds issued will be the full amount of the item minus the cost of shipping. This will be paid directly back to the original payment method.
    -i. Please allow staff sufficient time to organise and assist with the returns process. We will do our best to assist you with your issue
    BUT:
    -ii. Should the customer begin a chargeback or PayPal dispute case before we have time to action the concern, we might not be able to expedite your refund as other organisations will block our ability to assist.
    b. In cases of damaged items or other such minor problems with products we will offer to swap the item for one of the same BUT the faulty item must be returned to us first and the customer will be responsible for paying the additional postage costs.
    i. When swapping a faulty item customers must provide proof of purchase from our store.
    ii. The customer must notify the business within 7 days of receiving said “faulty” item with documentation- ie: photos of damage or fault.
    iii. Factory defects such as paint smudges, box variations, creases or other small variations that may occur from the original manufacturer process are not included in the “Damaged or Faulty” item return policy.
  3. All orders must be paid in full before they can be shipped.
  4. If your order contains Pre-order items, we may hold your whole order until all the items are ready depending on shipping status.
    a. Pre-order items will state their ETA or up to date information in the listing. If you wish to know more about a specific pre-order item please contact staff as we can provide further details before you purchase.
  5. Splitting shipment on orders OR cancellation of orders and Pre-Orders can be made IF the business is notified within 24 hours of purchase.
    a. We do reserve the right to refuse cancellation of orders as per T&C #2. However, we will do our best to work with the customer.
    b. If orders have progressed passed 24 hours of purchase it will be likely that they will be packed and sent, therefore unable to be halted.
  6. We reserve the right to cancel any orders, apply refunds and refuse service at any time.
  7. We are a small business and will not tolerate abuse of any kind:
    i. This maybe be in the form of cyber bullying
    ii. Blackmail – threatening to leave negative reviews
    iii. Targeting our social media platforms.

Shipping

We (Storybook Swag) will only be shipping within Australia. We do not offer international shipping.
All shipping will be through Australia Post with two speeds offered and charged at AusPost rates.
a. Costing is based on weights and speed –
i. Regular - Up to 3kgs for all regions in Australia will be a flat $10
ii. Regular – 3-5kgs for all regions in Australia will be a flat $15
iii. Regular – for every 1kg over 5kgs there will be a $2 increase. I.E: 6kgs = $17
iv. Express - - Up to 3kgs for all regions in Australia will be a flat $15
v. Express - - 3-5kgs for all regions in Australia will be a flat $25
vi. Express - - for every 1kg over 5kgs there will be a $3 increase. IE: 6kgs = $28
b. Arrival of shipping is dependent on speed of postage selected by the customer at check out
i. Should the customer wish to change the method of postage speed they are required to contact the business within 24 hours of placing the order
ii. Storybook Swag is NOT responsible for any delays due to AusPost handling. The AusPost processing and shipping times are out of control of the business.

  1. This means delays after we have processed, packed (please see processing times form more information) and handed the customer’s parcel over to Australia Post.
  2. We do offer a click and collect ability for those within Victoria, Australia
    a. Click and Collect is only available on Monday’s and Friday’s of each week
    b. Once the customer’s order has been processed and packed, they will then receive an email with information on the location and times to collect.
    c. If orders are not pick up within 7 days of collection notification and we have not been notified, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be issued less 10% for restocking fees.

Processing times

We are a small business and as such we have many demands that operate behind the scenes.
Please note the following:

  1. All orders will be processed and packed (if no pre-orders are attached) within 5 business days.
    a. If the customer wishes to change an address, split an order or cancel any items in the order this MUST be made within 24 hours of the order confirmation.
    i. Any changes to orders will add additional processing time to the fulfilment of the order.
  2. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their address and other details are correct.
    a. We are not accountable for parcels that go to incorrect addresses
    b. Email addresses that are incorrect will not receive purchase confirmations, status updates or shipping information

Pre-Orders

Due to the nature of the items we stock, there will be multiple products that will be classified as pre-orders. A pre-order is an item that we have sourced that has not yet arrived at our warehouse. We will provide our customers with the ability to secure the stock
before it arrives.

  1. All pre-orders must be paid for in full at the time of purchase.
  2. All pre-orders will state the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) within the product description.
    a. This is the date for when the item will arrive at our warehouse
    b. The ETA is the most recent date supplied to us from the manufacturer
    c. Storybook Swag is not responsible for any changes or delays to this ETA as this is out of our control. We cannot guarantee arrival by any specific date.
    d. In cases of unavailable stock due to manufacturing cancellation or extreme, unexpected extended delays, we will reach out to the customer to assist with refunds.

Personal information

At Storybook Swag we respect the privacy of all stakeholders, be it customer or supplier. We will do our best to protect the security and confidentiality of any personal information. “Personal information” refers to any information that may be used to identify any entity. This will be gathered through the general running of our business and will pertain to information such as email addresses, phone numbers, full names, shipping and billing addresses, and payment method details. In using our website, you provide consent for us to collect, store and use any such information, for instance in a newsletter.

  1. No personal information will be supplied to third parties
  2. We will take all reasonable measures to maintain your confidentiality in a secure manner
  3. We will keep your personal information for as long as it is deemed necessary for the running of our business.
